THE WAVE SLIDERS JOURNAL

ENTRY #044

Written By: Rick "Spidey" De Montrond

Intro By: Jack Ventura

INTRO:

This month’s Wave Sliders Journal drifts back into the golden era of skateboarding with Rick “Spidey” De Montrond - a true legend. Raised in California’s skate scene of the ’70s and 80's, Spidey turned pro at the Capitola Street Style contest in 1985 and went on to build a well-rounded life rooted in passion, skateboarding, music, art, surfing, and much more.

As a kid, I’d stumble across VHS tapes of him riding a skateboard in a way that stuck with me. Now, preparing this introduction as an adult, I find myself equally inspired not just by his style, but by his well-spoken, punk-rock, creative demeanor and his dedication to crafting everything with passion and quality in mind.

I’ll let you dive deeper into his career on your own. For now, settle in and enjoy this month’s edition of The Wave Sliders Journal. Big thanks to Spidey for joining us and for supporting FARO!
