INTRO:
Connor — “Condor” — is one of those guys who just is San Diego. Core is probably the right word?
He’s the kind of person you all want to be — a native San Diegan, hardworking, and a great surfer.
Usually you can find him bouncing between the beach, working long shifts at Bing Surf Shop, and spending evenings slinging pizzas at Corner Pizza.
No matter where you spot the Condor, he’s always bringing a good attitude and that hardworking nature I really admire. He just keeps it moving and I love that.
If you see him around Encinitas, say what’s up and get him a beer. He deserves it!
Enjoy Connor’s Wave Slider Journal entry below.
Thanks, Connor.

Who are you?
Share a few sentences explaining who you see yourself as these days...

First and foremost I’m a surfer!!! Punk and hard core fan, tattoo enthusiast, surf history fan, and just a frother!!

What was your first job?
First jobs reveal a lot about who we were.
--
I worked at a small breakfast cafe in Mission Beach when I was 14. Made coffee drinks, served food, bussed tables, and even delivered food on this big tricycle to hungover college kids.

What have you learned through surfing that translates to everyday life?
What you have learned from surfing and how those lessons help you through daily livin'...

Adaptability, you really have to be able to adapt to everything thrown at you in the water...big or small and adapting to every situation.

What is something you'd like to accomplish in the next 10 years?
Share a goal for the next decade, and how surfing might have influenced these aspirations.

Travel more and put out more video edits!!
Been working hard the last few years and finally getting to a place where I think it’s time to go explore. Also been connecting with lots of great filmers here in north county and working on my first full edit right now! Hopefully have it done beginning of summer to show at a Bing Surfboards movie night.
The People, Places and Phrases That Drive Brayden

Someone in the surf community you are stoked on:
MATT "The Waxhead" CHOJNACK (I’m sure I butchered the spelling of his last name, sorry mate!!)
The amount of surf history he holds is crazy, and he is always willing to share it. Stepping back in time replicating and riding old equipment - He’s a wealth of knowledge in the longboarding world and I am always learning from him and his surfing is second to none.
Been fortunate to connect and chat with him recently and he’s such a good guy!! He’s one of the most versatile surfers in the world in my opinion too, charges big waves and can ride a log with so much style, been watching him surf for a long time now and definitely have been taking notes.
A quote you like?
“It’s better than not surfing!”

A place you want to visit that you have not been to yet?
New Zealand!! It looks insane, raw but beautiful and how some waves can look like they’ve been untouched. I’ve always heard that around every corner could be another sick wave with nobody out and also I’m a huge Lord of The Rings fan!
